International tourism continues to recover strongly, according to CNN, with the number of trips expected to reach 1.3 billion by the end of 2023 and generating about 1,700 billion USD in global tourism spending. Türkiye’s Istanbul is the city welcoming the most visitors in the world in 2023, followed by Dubai and London. The two cities with the highest annual growth in the top 100 are Hong Kong (2,495% growth) and Bangkok (142%).

The rapid growth of tourism is also a reason that can cause many problems because a large number of tourists means overcrowding, bringing negative effects to the environment and the lives of local people.
